Default HI all

Completed NETT training on tiling and plastering , done a couple of plastering jobs - a Ceiling , My arm still has not recovered , the plaster was going off faster than i could apply it and a couple of Walls they were not a problem however .

Looking for tips of how to judge how much your applying as I seem to get too thick a layer on first trowel.

hello mags welcome, sounds like problem with suction on ceiling.summising all gear clean buckets etc.this time of year warm rooms heat rising can lead to stuff going of quick even if all procedures followed.opening windows doors can have effect same as heat as draughts will set stuff quicker ,arm ache common in lads new to game try to relax little bit more when applying as tendency is to tense up witch soon takes it out of you on average ceiling.as unnatural movement.as for thick first coat wldnt worry to much about that as most guys just starting tend to spread to thinit will come with experience although to thin will pull in very quick so thats why i think problem with ceiling was pva to weak mix.good luck try to relax little you wont go home as shatterd lol.
