Default lime work

interested to know if any lads doing lime work.area i have been slowly getting into long slow haul.made some good contacts early in the year wich have come good with work most are homeowners of listed buildings ,

Went on a couple of courses with spab (society protection of ancient buildings) fixing and applying laths and lime mortor, applying to walls, that was a while ago but they did say there's a shortage of lime plasterers at the time

same place m8, spab in derby wheathills,one of course tutors old guy malc taught my college in 70s lives in same area so has helped out with advice when needed.just another string to build on only so much of this re skim nonsence.

Northhampton and Leciester for me with spab, the guy who showed us served 7 years to learn the trade in France, you are so right about re-skimming, can't remember when I done a float and set.

lime rendering is the same as sand and cement basically... if you can float properly there is no difference
