Default Mixers

Gentlemen (and Ladies if present),

My first post. I need to buy a mixer for plastering (also to be used for tiling mixes and small amounts of mortar).

I've narrowed the choices to:

Berg EHR160BEL @ £258 inc vat
Perles ME1250E @ £270 inc vat
Belle-Promix 1600E @ £172 inc vat.

Any comments, suggestions, etc will be greatly appreciated.

Now, I'm going to take a shower, then I'm going out to get pretty (not totally) legless.

Thank you, Chaps.

I personally have used eibenstock made in germany, a link for you to browse Paddle and Plaster mixers - Megamixers for plastering and flooring, paint concrete and repair trades from Refina Ltd

I have'nt used the others so can't comment

Whitebeam,

Thank you for the link, mate. Really decent.

When making comparisons, what are the key indicators - power, output, capacity? It's a bit confusing.

seems to be the case that the faster drill speeds not always best thing to look for is the higher torque witch in turn gives a more powerfull drill,in the areas of what you describe as usage you would possibley be better with a two speed mixer givin high torque low speed for thicker materials and higher speeds for thinner, refina will probley meet you needs but beware pricey.

smaller mix smaller mixer methinks,if your only ever going to do a two bag mix get a smaller drill ie an mm19/2 from whitebeams link,(top class tools. imho)the big mixers are a bit brutal for bucket mixes!

It's the low ratio gears and amps, I've had one for ten years or more and have to get a new trigger for mine but never had it serviced
