new job.
has taken 3 months from first applying to final interview etc but ive recieved a call from the council and i will be starting my plastering apprenticeship with them in september

ive already done 2 years at college so now i'll be doing another 2 years (nvq 2 + 3)
finally a steady income. tho i have alot of plastering to do before i start with them and im sure ill be able to fit in work on the weekends to top up the beer fund
ooh what to buy with my ew tool allowance... i have everything i could possibly ever need, tho i wont tell them that

well done m8. used to get loads of work from contacts made at manchester council.used to dish me cards out as i was moving into slf employed.gd luck.not easy come by these days.bet there was one hell of a list of applicants.

Glad it's worked out for you, 3 months on interviews, probably the college work your've already achieved. You can never have enough tools mate

ta very much, i first applied at the end of april, then had a selection test, then got invited for an interview some 6 weeks later
long wait but worked out alright. they had hundreds of applications apparantly, then 20 for the test and then 10 for the interview, i honestly thought i wasnt going to get it. handed in my notice at my current part time job, leave next week, which gives me 5 weeks to get all my current plastering jobs done and dusted ready to start my new job.

nice to see someone geting on lately,but mr spoon i can tell you one thing that will happen during your time with the council you will catch fleas,i jest you not ,i have and more than once!

to true.i used to get changed in garage before going in our house then straight in shower.some of the gaffs are rancid,and thats with people in them.voids are worse.wait till they send you to work in toilet area,on empty gaff not been flushed for months some oap lived in.happy days thing we do to earn a crust. lol

best when someones died,theres an awful smell and the flies are an inch thick on the window sills after fumigation!

Been there, seen it, done it and it can be gross how some people live, there complaining how the coucil don't spend money on there property, pig stys don't usualy get a refurb
