    Default stilts

said a while back got new ulka stilts.well gave em first proper run out yesterday on 40m2 ceiling.went well no broken limbs or ripped out light fittings .was bit unsure so took hop ups in case all went pear shaped.no probs and that was with sheets over expensive wooden flooring, glad that can finally leave planks behind and all asociated mither of setting up.the old milk crate routine,an poss marked walls getting in an out with planks to long.who says cannot teach old dog new tricks.apart from my missis.lol. no time saved setting up etc well worth it ,plus will enable on medium size ceiling option of laying on top half of wall whilst opo does bottoms.wish tried to persivere years ago.still better late than never.

Great when you get used to them, like said above saves on all the hop ups and planks, just make sure the floor space is free from clutter or your going to head downwards, worth getting used to IMO, doesnt take long

How do you fellas get on with stilts when working in peoples houses. Do you not trip up on the dust sheets?
With a little charm and a lot of style

i jsut take the time to lay down a tarp sheet and make sure its as flat and neat as possible... then when im working at either corner of it i just remember to pick my feet up a bit more just incase it snags or owt, if i catch my stilt on and end of the sheet i jsut take a mo to push the sheet back in place and carry on as normal, never had a trip or fall, i use a spray bottle when on stilts as carrying a dripping wet brush is asking for trouble on tarpaulins
